Telle que vue dans le numéro d'hiver du magasine Canadian Scrapbooker, voici la page que j'ai faite pour le défi "It's a sketchy challenge" du mois d'août 2012.

As seen in the winter issue of Canadian Scrapbooker magazine, here is the page I created for their August 2012 "It's a sketchy challenge".

Forme de carton agloméré que j'ai peinte en jaune puis recouverte de "crackle paint" dont j'ai accéléré le séchage avec mon fusil à embossage. J'ai ensuite mis de l'encre jaune pour faire ressortir les craques.

Chipboard shape that I painted and covered with crackle paint which I accelerated the drying with my embossing gun. I then put some yellow ink to highlight the cracks.

Ici, j'ai utilisé un pochoir et de la pâte à texture à laquelle j'ai mélangé du sable très fin et de l'encre rouge.

Here, I used a stencil and some texture paste to which I mixed some red ink and very fine sand.

J'ai récupéré ce filet d'un emballage de fruits.
This net comes from a fruit package.

In the Cormier family, the Father's Day is celebrated around a delicious lobster meal every year.

Joyeux Noël! Pour rester dans l'ambiance des fêtes, je vous présente aujourd'hui une page mettant en vedette mes décorations de Noël préférées.

Merry Christmas! To stay in the holliday spirit, I show you today a LO featuring my favorites Christmas decorations.

Dû au mauvais éclairage, les pierres ressortent un peu bleu, mais elles sont du même vert que les arabesques.

Due to poor lightning, the jewels appear to be bluish, but they're actually the same green as the swirls.

My journaling says why these are my favorites decorations in our Christmas Tree. The 2 babies represent my daughters and I just think the gingerbread (as well as its 19 fellows in the tree) is cute.

Après quelques semaines d'absence au cours desquelles j'ai buché fort pour mettre à jour les 5 mois de retard que j'avais dans mon Project Life, je vous présente aujourd'hui la page que j'ai faite à partir du croquis #2 de décembre du site Let's Get Sketchy.

Il s'agit d'une photo de ma fille l'an dernier. C'était la première fois qu'elle ne pleurait pas en voyant le Père Noël et qu'elle acceptait de s'assoir sur lui.

After a few weeks of absence during which I worked hard on updating a 5 months of  delay in my Project Life, I show you today the page I made with December sketch #2 at Let's Get Sketchy.

It's a last year picture of the first time my daughter did not cry seeing Santa and agreed to sit on his knees.

Pour mettre un peu de texture, j'ai embossé quelques flocons.
To add some texture, I embossed a few snow flakes.

Aujourd'hui je vous présente la page que m'a inspirée le croquis #236 de Creative Scrappers. J'ai utilisé beaucoup de produits de la collection Tell Your Story de Teresa Collins. J'aime tellement cette collection!

Il se peut que vous reconnaissiez la photo car je l'avais déjà scrappée dans sa version couleurs pour l'album de Zoé il y a quelques mois (ici). Cette fois-ci, c'est pour l'album d'Ophélie. Je dois dire qu'elle a été beaucoup plus facile à travailler en noir et blanc!

Today I show my take on sketch # 236 at Creative Scrappers. To make it, I  used a lot of products from the Teresa Collins Tell Your Story collection. I love this collection so much!

You might recognize the photo because I already made a page with it in its color version a few months ago for Zoé's album (here). This time, it's for Ophélie's album. I have to say that it was way easier to work it in black and white!

Les petits pieds du bonheur V. 2.0

Aujourd'hui, je vous présente la page que j'ai créée pour participer au défi d'octobre sur My Creative Sketches.

Avant de vous la montrer, je vais vous expliquer le titre. Lorsque Ophélie était bébé, j'avais fait une page avec une photo de ses pieds que j'avais intitulée "Les petits pieds du bonheur" pour participer à un défi "titre de film". Lorsqu'il a été temps de faire cette page avec les pieds de Zoé, je me suis dit que ce serait chouette de reprendre le même titre et plutôt que de simplement écrire 2 à la fin, j'ai eu envie de faire honneur à l'ère techno dans laquelle nous vivons et d'y aller pour l'abréviation de "version 2.0".

Alors maintenant, voici le sketch et mon interprétation!

Good morning!

Today, I present you my take on October sketch at My Creative Sketches.

But, before to show it to you, let me explain you the title. When Ophélie was a baby, I made a page with a picture of her feet that I titled "Les petits pieds du bohneur" (which is the French version of the movie "Happy Feet") to take part in a "Movie Title" challenge. When I made this page with Zoé's feet, I told myself that it would be nice to use the same title but instead of simply add 2 at the end, I decided to honour the techno era in which we live and to go with the short for "Version 2.0".

So now, here are the sketch and my take on it!

Pour ajouter un peu de texture, j'ai mis un peu de washi tape.
To add some texture, I put some washi tape.

Pensez-vous que j'aurais dû peinturer la petite fée? J'ai hésité à lui peindre les ailes en rose, la robe en lilas et les cheveux je ne sais trop quelle couleur...

Do you think I should have painted the little fairy? I hesitated to paint her wings in pink, her dress in lavender and her hair I don't know what color...

Just a quick post to show you the LO I made for case #43 at CSI.

It is about the discovery of this poor baby bird in our backward the day following a big storm this summer. It didn't know how to fly and had an injured leg. The kids fed it with insects all day. At the end of the day, we placed it in this nest that also fell from the tree during the storm and placed it back on a branch hoping its mom would find it.

Cheeze {burger} Bacon

Voici comment j'ai résolu le cas 39 du site CSI.

Here is how I solved the case #39 at CSI.

La combinaison de cette palette de couleurs et de cette photo m'a donné le goût d'essayer quelque chose d'un peu plus "free style" que ce que je fais normalement. J'ai souffert un peu, mais en bout de ligne j'ai bien aimé l'exercice!

This color scheme combined with this photo made me feel like trying something more free style than I usually do. I suffered a bit, but finally I liked the exercise!

My journaling tells the funny story of how I received this (only cheeze and bacon in a bun) after ordering a cheeze bacon combo instead of a cheeze BURGER bacon combo during a vacation in the US last year. Lesson of the day: the short "cheeze bacon" is used only in Québec! Happily, my husband had a Big Mac so he gave me one of his meat balls. We had such a great laugh!

Bébé de rêve

Une autre page avec une magnifique photo de AnnieB Studio. J'en suis assez fière, mis à part que j'ai raté mes accents sur le mot "bébé"... Ça gâche un peu je trouve.

Grand-papa Smarties

Voici ce que m'a inspiré le sketch 225 de Creative Scrappers. Une page pour conserver dans les archives familiales la techique utilisée par le mari de ma mère pour apprivoiser Ophélie lorsqu'elle était petite et qu'elle avait peur de lui (et des hommes en général!): il cachait des smarties dans la poche de poitrine de sa chemise, ce qui lui a valu le surnom de grand-papa Smarties.

Here is the layout that Creative Scrappers' sketch 225 inspired me. A page to keep in the family records how my mother's husband tamed Ophélie when she was a little girl afraid of him (of men in general I shoul say!): he hid Smarties in the breast pocket of his shirt, that's how he earned the nickname of Grand-papa Smarties.
