Sur cette page, j'ai utilisé du gesso avec un masque. J'ai tartiné bien épais et ensuite j'ai tapoter avec une spatule pour donner un aspect un peu stucco. Ensuite j'ai encré un peu.

Je ne suis pas certaine que j'aime le résultat, mais faut bien essayer de nouvelles choses de temps à autre!

Le journaling est sur une étiquette, cachée dans une pochette.

On this page, I used gesso with a mask. I spread a thick layer that I after patted with a spatula to obtain a stucco effect. Finally, I inked it a bit.

I'm not sure I like the result, but, eh, a girl has to try new things from time to time!

My journaling is on a tag, hidden in a little enveloppe. It says:

"For your 4th birthday, we gave you this bike. You were so excited to finally have a big girl bike, moreover, a princesses bike! However, you were less enthusiastic at the thought of actually ride it... It took a lot of patience and encourragements from us, but you finally mastered the technic at the end of the fall!"

Et maintenant, voici le début de mon journal "Project Life". J'ai décidé d'y aller très simple, le but étant de tenir bon à documenter notre quotidien tout au long de l'année. C'est un projet de grande envergure et je me connais: si ça devient trop long à faire, je vais abandonner en moins de 2 mois. Alors j'ai choisi des papiers noir et blanc afin que ce soit neutre et que ça ne jure pas avec les couleurs des photos. J'écris dans un fichier Word le résumé de nos journée presque quotidiennement et à la fin de la semaine, je fais imprimer le texte. Comme j'ai commencé seulement en février, je n'ai fait qu'une page double pour tout le mois de janvier. On verra pour la suite si j'ai assez de contenu pour faire une page par semaine, par 2 semaine ou encore toujours une page double par mois.

And now, here is the beginning of my "Project Life". I made the decision to keep it very simple, the concept being to document our day to day life all year long. This is a major project and I know how I am: if it is too long too do, I'll just drop the projet in less than 2 months. So I choose some black and white paper to keep it neutral with the colors photos. I write short description of our days in a Word file at the end of almost every day and print it at the end of the week. As I begun this project only in February, I just made a double page for the whole January month. I'll see for the other months if I have enough to tell to do a page every week, two week or only a double page per month.

Voici la page que j'avais commencée pour participer au défi sketch 63 du site Sketchabilities. Malheureusement, comme je suis partie en vacances au Mexique 1 semaine (ok, ce n'est pas la partie malheureuse de l'histoire! lol), je n'ai pas pu finir ma page à temps pour le défi.

J'ai vraiment adoré ce sketch. J'aurais aimé avoir un masque de brique car c'est vraiment ce que je préfère de ce croquis, mais comme je n'en ai pas, j'ai fait des expériences avec un autre masque, de la peinture, glimmer mist et mister huey. Bref, mon fond et mes chipboard sont recouverts de toute sorte de médiums. J'étais dans une phase expérimentale pas mal!

Today I show you the LO I started a couple weeks ago to enter for Sketchabilities Sketch #63. Unfortunately, as I went to Mexico for a week of vacations (OK, this is not the sad part of the story! lol) I didn't finished my LO in time to participate in the challenge.

I really loved this sketch. What I like the most about it is the brick background, but as I don't own a brick mask, I made some experimental work with another kind of mask, acrylic paint, glimmer mist and mister huey on my background and chipboard.

Today, I want to share a discover with you. It's the website Bongo International. With Bongo, over is the frustration of not being able to order something from the USA because the vendor doesn't ship to Canada! All you have to do is to ask the vendor to ship your order at Bongo, which is located in th USA, and then Bongo send it to you in Canada. Wonderful isn't it? Of course, they charge us DHL of Fedex shipping fees, but often this cost is free with the initial order (i.e. with any order over 25$ at amazon.com) so it's no big deal.
